Ninja Wars - Battle Simulator places you before a 3D battlefield where you assemble your army before launching the clash. From the start of a match, you observe the enemy deployment, spot the most exposed lines and choose how to distribute your ninjas among swordsmen, spearmen and archers. The pleasure comes from that tense preparation, because everything depends on your decisions before impact. A poor reading of the enemy formation can make your front fall in a few moments, whereas a more thoughtful placement allows you to contain a charge, protect the rear and let your ranged units do their work. Each level pushes you to rethink your approach to combat, with situations where the balance between offense and coverage becomes decisive. During the match, you progress mainly by trial, by adjustments and by reading the human terrain that unfolds before you. You can concentrate your swordsmen to break through quickly, place spearmen to better hold a line, or leave archers to support the whole from a safer position. Some deadlocks appear when a composition seems solid on paper but collapses against a better organized formation. That is when the game becomes interesting, because you must understand why your army failed and then go back with a different distribution of troops. The 3D visual relief helps to better read the distances between groups, and the moment when you finally trigger the battle gives each choice real weight.
