You accompany a mole who digs the earth layer after layer to go ever deeper toward the center of the world. At first, progression relies on your repeated actions to break the earth, then the game grows as your little miner becomes better equipped. Each depth gained gives the feeling of opening a new tier of yield, because you see the excavation advance faster, resources accumulate and overall efficiency increase. During a session, you alternate between the urge to dig immediately to speed the descent and the need to reinforce equipment so as not to be stuck at too slow a pace. Progression is simple to understand, but it quickly becomes absorbing, because each upgrade concretely changes your pace and renews the goal of an even deeper hole. Over time, decisions are mainly about how to invest what you earn. Upgrades appear at the bottom of the screen, which pushes you to constantly watch for the right moment to spend rather than wait needlessly. If you invest too late, progression becomes arduous, and if you spend too early on a poorly profitable choice, you slow your advance toward the depths. The interest also comes from the fact that extraction does not stop when you leave the session, which allows you to return with new resources to use and a mole already further advanced than at departure. You thus chain active sessions, where you push the descent manually, and more strategic returns, where you optimize gains accumulated in your absence. It is up to you to play! Enjoy!
