Hexholm places you on a hex-based map where you start from a single province, then gradually expand your kingdom until all rival factions disappear. From the first turns the game advances quickly, because every captured tile matters, every move opens a new possibility and every mistake can leave a gap. You recruit units with your gold, place them inside your territory, then send them to the borders to conquer neutral tiles or attack a neighbor. As your domain grows, your income increases, allowing you to strengthen your army and prepare a more ambitious push. The pace is tense, but the feel remains very clear, because everything is decided by short, immediate choices, with real tension when several enemies threaten at once. During a game, you must constantly choose between pushing forward quickly or consolidating your lines. An overly aggressive expansion can expose you, especially if a rival faction takes advantage of a poorly held front to nibble away at your territory. The game therefore pushes you to distribute your forces well, to use your gold at the right time and to merge identical units to obtain stronger troops capable of breaking a defense or securing a fragile area. Some maps end in a few minutes, others require you to catch your breath, revise a plan and even undo a turn thanks to an undo feature if you misread a counterattack. Between the 100 hand-crafted campaign levels, the daily challenge with global leaderboard and the random skirmishes, situations constantly change and renew the tactical pleasure. Your move! Enjoy!
