Desert Gunship puts you at the controls of an attack helicopter above an enemy-held desert air base. As soon as you approach the hangars and runways, the quiet of the sand gives way to gunfire, hostile vehicles, and other gunships trying to bring you down. You choose your weapons according to the threat, then fly at low altitude to destroy positions, reach a specific area, or protect your aircraft long enough to complete the operation. Each sortie has its own pace, from a brutal assault on a camp to a raid on a depot or a survivor evacuation under fire. The pressure rises when enemy fire forces you to change course, identify a priority target, or temporarily abandon an attack that is too risky. The chase camera or free-look view helps you monitor the area around the helicopter and keep track of the dangers. The rewards earned after missions can be spent in the hangar, where you permanently upgrade the armor, firepower, or speed to return better prepared for the objective that stopped you. Between survival, destruction, and mastery of the terrain, every battle demands a cool head. Enjoy!
Use W/S to fly forward and backward, A/D to turn, Q/E to turn left and right, the spacebar to climb, C to descend, the left mouse button to fire, the mouse to aim the camera, 1-3 to select a weapon, X to cycle weapons, N/M to select the next or previous target, or the mouse wheel to switch targets, V to switch between chase and free-look cameras, F to pick up or drop a bomb, L to release the mouse cursor, and H to show or hide the control tips.
