You launch a vehicle down immense slopes to cause spectacular collisions against destructible obstacles, then you watch the metal crease, parts give way and the chassis fall apart under the force of speed. From the first moments, the game relies on a very direct feeling, that of momentum, impact and loss of control which you nevertheless try to exploit at the right moment. You choose a car, you gain speed, you adjust your trajectory and you decide whether it is better to aim for an element of the scenery, attempt a head-on hit or arrive at an angle to see how the structure reacts. The pleasure comes as much from the driving as from the moment of the crash, because each descent can produce a different result depending on the angle, the speed and the point of impact. As the game progresses, you seek less to win than to experiment, to understand how far a vehicle can take damage before becoming difficult to steer or almost unusable. Some situations block you because a car that is too damaged responds poorly, because an obstacle stops you dead or because a poor placement breaks your momentum before the main impact. You can then set off again with another vehicle to compare the reactions, or repair the car in order to immediately retry a run. The view can also be changed to better appreciate the descent or follow the deformation during the impact, which changes the way you read the action without changing the principle. Online, the presence of other players adds even more variety, because you can cross their trajectories and witness more unpredictable accidents. Enjoy!
